blog-cabin.jpg

Earlier this year DIYNetwork.com invited visitors to vote each day on 13 design areas for a future cabin to be built in the Great Smoky Mountains. From the floor plans, roof, and countertops, the results were up to us.

They are now building this cabin to the winning specs and are offering you a chance to win the cabin. Details are below.

Here is the direct link to submit your entry, good luck.

We are facing potential eminent domain. Since Californians were easily tricked to voting their property rights away last November, we will be lucky if they pay a single dime for our home. I am hoping to win this cabin so that we are not left homeless & bankrupt as they leave folks with the mortgage. Welcome to the new USA!

We havee ben married this 4th. of July 38 years and through never once has mt husband ever asked for one thing, His dream was to retire and have a 30 acres of land and a cabin for us. But then he became ill and lost all of his 30 years retirement at INCO and I became ill and had to retire and it just breaks my heart to know that this man was sent here to fulfill a wonderful purpose and his dream of owning a cabin an having fields of oats, clover, corn and hay shall never occur and I cry each night wishing I could do something to help make his life long dream come true. MY husband is a good man, is is a veterans, a mason, a shriner and electrcan but it assms the less an individual does anymore the more they reap the goods, My wish for christmas this year is my husband reeives a new log home thank-you most kindly mrs. dianna arthur

I have always wanted to live independently out in nature. A log home would be a great start. The log cabin is so eco friendly.
