Fall finally feels like it's arrived here in New York and soon the leaves will start dropping in droves. In an afternoon you can build this huge compost bin made of basic shipping pallets (easy to find from a warehouse or big box retailer) that will hold the compost pile in place while providing protection from animals but be open to the air and the elements so it breaks down properly.
