Color Helper for Picking Paint

color-helper.jpg

We found this Color Helper on Shelterrific last week and are interested to hear if anyone has tried it. It claims to match color palettes from all of the leading paint manufacturers (over 13,000 colors).

It also gives a "thumbs" up recommendations to two colors that it "thinks" would harmonize together. Not sure how it determines this but it's a feature.

I just got one of this gadgets for Christmas. This is a good idea that needs work.It reads the colors pretty close and gives you other options. However you need a computer to use it and the software that comes with it leaves a lot to be desired. You will also need a pad and pen to write down the colors you choose because they cannot be saved to a file.If you can leave with that then I recommend you buy one.I'm a paint contractor and I figure I try it.PS You can download different data bases from the web such as Benjamin Moore, Pratt and Lamber etc.
