Steps for Safely Disposing of a Broken CFL Light bulb

When a compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL - shown above before breaking) breaks, you must handle the contents with a bit more care as it contains mercury which is very toxic.     Thanks - didn't realize they were so dangerous. Wish there was an easy way to recycle these.

    Great to know. I get frustrated because they say the bulbs will last for 5 years or more, but when you use them 4-5 hours each day, they burn out pretty quickly.
