Fix a Sagging Wooden Swing Gate

wood-gate-sagging-fix.jpg

It's time to fix that sagging wooden gate that scrapes along the ground. Until this is remedied it will continue to mark your pathway as well as damage the bottom of your gate and place unnecessary stress on the hinges and planks.

Here's a great step-by-step and visual aid for fixing a sagging swing gate by simply installing an anti-sag gate kit which consists of opposing hooks and a tension cable that will re-align your gate.

I have a double wide gate (actually 2 gates that open to allow a car to drive through). Will this suggestion work in my case?

    Thanks,
    James
  • Unless you can find an anti-sag gate kit that will fit the double wide gate you have then no. But checkout the kit and I bet you could come up with a similar solution for your own sagging gate that is custom.
