It may be summer, but now is the time to hit the stores if you're in the market for a new home heating system. Not sure whether you should invest in a furnace, boiler or heat pump? This article on DoItYourself.com explains the difference between each system and offers up considerations one should make before deciding which to purchase.

For instance, if you live in a climate with very cold weather, like Chicago, a heat pump is out of the question. Because heat pumps utilize air from outside of the home, the system would have to work overtime in such a climate.
