Flagstone Kitchen Tiles

flagstone-kitchen-tile.jpg

Flagstone is typically used in outdoor applications to create pathways or sometimes patios but this family is using them to tile their kitchen. But what is even more interesting is the fact that they sourced the flagstone from a nearby creek on their property.

They are tackling this project further upstream (pardon the pun) then most DIY homeowners and fortunately for them if a tile breaks they have a plethora of replacements just down the hill.

  • Really a nice idea in adding those tiles in kitchen.
This makes you feel cooking in outdoor.

love that look but does C&H know if you have to do anything special as far as grout and a top finish?

Also love it. The one caution I would have is the inherently uneven surface. Even with mortar, it won't be perfectly even to walk on.
