GPS Required for LA

map-los-angeles.jpg

It's official. Charles & Hudson will be moving from NYC to LA next month. We've had a great run in the world's most amazing city but it's time to check out the left coast. Because we have writers from all over the country our perspective is not specifically NewYorkcentric but we can't deny that C&H can have a bit more urban flair due to our location.

We're on the hunt for rental homes in North East LA and just purchased a Garmin 650 to help us navigate the city. We haven't owned a car for 8 years so besides using GPS in rentals we've missed the GPS revolution and look forward to having satellite navigation.

One Project Closer just did a nice review of our GPS unit and we're happy with our decision.

More to come on our move later.

  • Having a gps is the wave of the future for things to have and will be a common item as well.

  • In any big city or areas that you're not familiar, especially in LA, you definitely need a gps to guide you from point a to point b. In Dallas or northern Texas you need a gps just to find a tornado shelter, if you don't know where one is.

LA's Craigslist is soooooooooooo much better than NYC's. Have a good time!

Boy, driving in LA will be a big switch from cabbing it around New York. Good luck on the move!
