Front Porch Progress

Curb appeal can be enhanced in many ways. We first like to consider what can be done with the existing landscape. Many times an afternoon spent pruning and trimming back overgrown trees and bushes can make the most difference.

But sometimes a dramatic entrance such as a covered front porch cannot be ignored and if it is in bad shape and needs more than just paint it's best to invest in this section of your home as it's the first impression that counts the most.

We like what this houseblogger has done with their front porch renovation. The older photo gives his project context and we are impressed with his finished project. But we're wondering why he chose to leave out the cross beams? They are a nice element and add another dimension to the columns.
