Twin Draft Guard: Use It or Lose It?

Weatherizing is on our mind and we just saw the infomercial for the Twin Draft Guard. Looks like it could be effective but the application seems limited. How many threshold/door spaces could really handle that much material? Unless you've got a gaping hole we just aren't sure.

Anyone else have an opinion?

The Draft Guards wouldn't slide on the carpet but we covered them with clear plasic and they now they work great

What a piece of chinese import junk
After waiting a month to receive I'm not impressed.
It rolls up on itseld and is so flimsy it can't stop anything
The so called free over the door hanger that came with it is what you pay for.
Like the guy below states, no way to contact them. The 800# just rings

Item is a piece of junk, not worth the money. Also not long enough. I have gaps on both sides of the door. What's the sense of blocking drafts if you have gaps! Iwas als annoyed because there is no phone # on the box or website to offer an opinion. What does that tell you. Save your money, you could buy your own.

we have one, it works, its more low profile than i imagined. or maybe i've gotten used to it. if you can't afford a new door -- this is helpful!

Yup, I have one and it's a great solution for the door that leads up to my attic. I used the draft guard to replace the rolled up towel I had been using to block the cold/hot air that seeps under the door (It's old, doesn't fit well enough at the bottom). It blocks the air better than the towel and since we go to the attic a lot to fetch or put something in storage, I no longer have to nag my boyfriend about fixing the stupid towel when he's done. So win/win. I bought mine Bed, Bath and Beyond (you can use a coupon!) and it works well for what I need. But if you're crafty, you could easily make these and in a more attractive fabric too!

I've been meaning to see if the twin draft guard would fit on the back door because despite installing foam insulation and a door sweep, I still feel cold air coming in there. Haven't tried it yet though.
