Our friend Harry Sawyers who was a long-time This Old House editor and Hardware Aisle blogger is now sharing his expertise with the readers of Popular Mechanics.

His latest article reviews 4 types of duct tape and test them for sturdiness, stickiness, and water resistance.

And the winner is?

Gorilla Tape! A longtime favorite of ours. It took 85 pounds of stacked dumbells to tear it, 'nuff said!

Google " Hurricane Tape " then you will know who the winner is by 600 lbs. It's retiredly incredible stuff. Now they sell it everywhere.

Ive always used regular duct tape. Looks like I will have to try the Gorilla tape out!
