Chinese Made Drywall Leaving a Nasty Trail

drywall-chinese.jpg

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, there is an issue with some Chinese made drywall emitting smelly, corrosive gases and ruining household systems such as air conditioners. There have been multiple class-action lawsuits filed in Alabama, Florida, and Louisiana but this issue could be much more widespread. The offending drywall is reportedly very high in sulfur and homeowners have complained of rotten eggs smell and corrosion of piping and wiring, causing electronics and appliances to fail.

If you feel your interior may be effected by this please contact the CPSC.
