Build Your Own Table with Reusable Lumber

    diy-table-build-it-yourself.jpg

This build-it-yourself table by a first time furniture builder is one of the sharpest we've seen in a long time. The construction and craftsmanship look like that of an experienced builder. They explain the process which includes re-usable materials.

This is a table built out of old pine & fir joists I bought at a Recycling & Salvage place up in Chicago. The dimensions and design came from a table that was at the store up there, but that they refused to sell. So I took measurements and photos, and bought the wood I thought I needed to build the same thing. It's my first shot at furniture, and as long as I go really slow, it might work out all right.

More photos of the table here and here.

Nice job but you need a lot of tools to build a table. at least you need a circular electric saw, and a hammer :)) the idea is nice but where is the tutorial on how you built it?

I believe this builder wanted to capture the essence of building the table from their great photos and it doesn't serve as a tutorial but rather inspiration.
