Do You Let IKEA Define You?
All of the fuss circulating this week regarding IKEA's decision to switch fonts (elegant version of Futura to plain-jane Verdana) got us thinking about one of the coolest scenes from the movie Fight Club. Ed Norton's character ponders the question of "What kind of dining set defines me?" and dreams of filling his home with products from the IKEA catalog with hopes it transforms his stature in life or at least portrays the image he has of himself.
Isn't that what decorating is all about?
