Wood Kitchen Countertops - Surprise, It's Concrete!
Faux bois seems to be en vogue these days and we like it! Apartment Therapy found this builder that fabricates kitchen countertops made of concrete but look like wood.

Indistinguishable from the real thing, with much more durability and functionality than real wood. Custom iron dovetails and nail heads are embedded in the concrete to enhance the realistic look of the wood.
Looks real to us but it has to be strange to work on when you are expecting a softer organic feel but get concrete.
