Thursday, Oct 1st we'll be checking out the grand re-opening of Revival Home & Garden in Seattle as they've settled into a new shop at 1517 12th Avenue in Capitol Hill.
Their vintage selections are well edited and we're trying to find a reason to bring the Shipwood Table home with us.

This week Bettina Kowalewski released her book Bed in a Tree and Other Amazing Hotels From Around the World.
We found the Dog Park Inn Bed & Breakfast to be one of the most unique spots she had selected to be in her book. Guests enter the body of the beagle from a private 2nd story deck. Some of the dog's decorative furnishings are carvings by Dog Bark Park chainsaw artists Dennis & Frances. Inside and up another level to the head of the dog is a loft room with additional sleeping space plus a cozy alcove in the muzzle.

WHAT: >Design Within Reach will host an evening with the editors of Remodelista, a one-stop sourcebook for homeowners going through the design and renovation process. The Remodelista aesthetic favors classic and livable over trendy and transient and thoughtfully designed products over disposable goods. Each editor will go through a room from their home and describe the signature Remodelista mix of modern and vintage, high and low.
WHO: Remodelista Editors Julie Carlson, Janet Hall, Sarah Lonsdale and Francesca Connolly. Drawing from their combined professional backgrounds as magazine editor, video producer, fabric designer and human resources director, the women have merged their similar design sensibilities with an entrepreneurial drive to form Remodelista.
