The Team
Timothy Dahl - Founder, Editor
Timothy attributes his DIY acumen to his Dad who always included him on house projects that simultaneously instilled a work-ethic and taught him some basic skills that helped keep the house in order. Although Timothy has yet to build a house his early experience with Lincoln Logs and Erector sets have laid a great foundation, not to mention his background at This Old House, Elle Decor, Metropolitan Home, and HOME websites. Timothy continues to search for DIY and home improvement resources that are generated by independent designers, builders, and homeowners and maintains that chuck keys are underrated and Laura Dahl is the greatest fashion designer alive today.

Laura Serino - Contributor
Laura is a former New York City editor who traded her heels in lieu of boots when she moved to an island twelve miles off the coast of Maine. She is currently a freelance writer living in Portland, Maine with her boyfriend who is trying to teach her how to build her own furniture. Tabatha Muntzinger - Contributor
Tabatha is a Chicago-born, SW Ohio-raised Midwestern girl with a degree in Sociology and a hard-wired passion for DIY. She runs two blogs - one about her life, and one about the renovation of her 110+ year old house that she shares with her husband, baby boy, four cats, and Chihuahua. When not blogging or being a super stay-at-home mom, you'll likely find her in her "construction clothes" doing any number of projects during naptime.
Diana Dart - Contributor
Diana's a true Canadian girl - she loves to be outside and always complains about the weather. When she's not on her deck or in the garden, Diana is playing with (or laughing at) her kids, working on the computer or convincing her husband to tackle yet another DIY project. He's a patient and skilled man. Diana loves her job as co-owner of a family run deck & fence company and writes on the side whenever she can.

Carly Zinderman - Contributor
Carly is a Southern California native staying true to her roots by living in the tiny town of Los Angeles. She has worked on a variety of different writing projects, mainly producing content for different websites as well as writing articles for tiny local magazines and doing some occasional editing.
Nicole Vaughn - Contributor
A lifelong Midwesterner, Nicole calls the St. Louis suburbs home. Architecture (particularly historic) and restoration have always drawn her interest. Combine that with a lifelong fascination with tools and it seemed inevitable that she would find herself rehabbing an older home. However, This D*mn House, a small, circa 1940 Cape Cod which Nicole shares with her mother, a Yorkie and a cat, isn't exactly the Queen Anne fixer she'd always dreamed of. Yet she and her mother persevere with the mindset of "All it will needs are windows and it will be a brand new house!"
